Our beliefs and core values....

We believe in God who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy and just, gentle and loving, full of glory and majesty. We believe in the Scripture, inspired by God, infallible in purpose, and inerrant in content. Believers are expected to belief it completely, to study it daily and in Sunday School, and live by it consistently. Bible teaching and preaching are the priority of Ladonia Baptist Church.

We believe only Jesus saves, and He saves by His grace through faith and repentance. At salvation, Jesus enters by the Holy Spirit, and transforms, baptizes, and equips the believer with a spiritual gift. Once a believer is saved he or she is always saved. All true believers will live a Christian life.

God created man in His own image. Man, however, fell into sin by his choice. Consequently, all people are sinners. This condition necessitates salvation by God's grace and God's grace alone. The church is the sole possession of Jesus Christ. Christ and Christ alone is head of the Church. Only He has the right to rule local churches, and He does this through His word and Spirit. The church exists as a local body to worship, teach, evangelize, fellowship, and minister. Baptism is the immersion of believers. It pictures the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the salvation of the believer. It does not save, but it is necessary for an obedient and effective Christian life. It is a requirement for church membership. The Lord's Supper is a memorial to the death of Jesus Christ. Only believers participate in it, and they do so with hearts cleansed of sin.

Jesus will return one day to rapture His church from the earth. Following this, the world will endure the fierce judgment of God in the Great Tribulation. The Great Tribulation will come to an end when Jesus Christ returns for a second time and engages the devil and the wicked in the Battle of Armageddon. Christ will then reign on the earth for 1000 years. Following this, He will dwell with His people in the new heaven and the new earth. Heaven is God's reward for all believers in Jesus Christ. There believers will enjoy rewards and reign with Christ forever and forever. All those who have received Christ as Savior will dwell there. Unbelievers who die spend eternity in hell. Hell is an eternal place of conscious torment. All persons who die do not personally receive Christ as Savior and Lord suffer there for eternity. This excludes all infants, small children, and others who have not come to the age of accountability.

Christians are expected to live under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Their purpose in life is to glorify Christ. Their mandate is to evangelize the globe. Their authority is the Scripture. Their priorities are Christ, personal devotions, family, church attendance, good relationships, and ministry. They are expected to love the law of the Lord, and obey Him in all things. They are to speak up quickly for the name of Christ, and avoid all things God prohibits. They are to live lives different from the world. They are to give at least a tithe of their income to God through the church and give additional offerings to mission causes.
